- Location: Pisgah National Forest, near Collettsville, NC
- Size & Terrain: 8,320 acres with 34 miles of marked trails; terrain includes rocky climbs, hard pack, loose dirt, and forest canopy
- Machines Allowed:

- Dirt bikes and ATVs: All trails
- UTVs: Designated ATV/4x4 trails
- Jeeps/4WD: Only on Trail 8 and part of Trail 1
- Camping & Lodging: Primitive dispersed camping along Forest Road 299; developed camping at Mortimer Campground (9 miles away)

Passes & Pricing
- Trail Pass Required:

- $30 for a season pass
- Passes are available at local vendors and the Grandfather Ranger District Office.
- Open season: April 1 – January 1
Rules & Safety
Safety is non-negotiable at Brown Mountain:
- Helmets and eye protection are required for all riders.
- Spark arrestor mandatory; noise limit 99 dB
- Alcohol is prohibited on trails and in campgrounds. Children under 8 may not operate ATVs or motorcycles; riders under 16 must be supervised by an adult.ion.
- Stay on designated trails—no trail blazing or bushwhacking.
