- Location: Uwharrie National Forest, near Troy, NC
- Size & Terrain: Nearly 20 miles of trails across the Badin Lake Recreation Area; terrain includes rocky climbs, steep grades, ruts, and seasonal mud pits
- Machines Allowed: Jeeps, 4x4 trucks, ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes (all must meet OHV regulations)
- Camping & Lodging:

- Art Lilley Campground is your spot for free primitive camping with direct trail access. You’ll get vault toilets and gravel pads, but bring your own water—none is provided.
- Nearby developed campgrounds: Badin Lake and Arrowhead (no direct trail access; machines must be hauled)

Rules & Safety
Uwharrie takes safety seriously—
- Helmets are required for ATVs and dirt bikes
- Spark arrestor mandatory; noise limit 99 dB
- Stick to the marked trails. No blazing your own path.
- Alcohol is prohibited on trails.
- Working headlights and brake lights are required for night riding
- Recovery gear is strongly recommended for advanced trails.
